It all started in a bedroom.

How it began

My daughter loves squishies. The slow-rising ones, the glittery ones, the ones shaped like food. Her collection grew and grew, until one day she and her cousins decided to open a shop in her bedroom. They laid out the squishies and gave it a name: Sparkle & Squish.

It was the best shop in the house. So we decided to make it a real one.

Why safety comes first

As we started looking for squishies to sell, I started looking more closely at what was inside them. Honestly, it scared me as a dad.

In the UK in 2026 alone, squishies have been recalled for containing benzene, a chemical that can cause cancer, and for sand that may contain asbestos. Trading Standards stopped around half a million at Heathrow in just two months. Others have been stopped at the border because their safety paperwork didn't even match the toy. Many are sold online with no proper safety testing at all, and they end up in children's hands and bedrooms.

I can't stop every unsafe squish out there. But I can make sure none of them come from us, and help other parents know what to look for.

Our promise

We only sell squishies whose safety paperwork we've checked ourselves: real lab test reports, matched to the exact toy, with the right age on the label. If we can't get the paperwork, we don't sell it. Simple as that.
